Please correct me if I am wrong...
use a glass jar with a plastic lid filled with distilled water about 1 inch at the top for air.. Place a glass cup inside to hold the MMS and citric acid. Place the cup in the water but this cup must rise above the water level so no water gets into it. add one ounce of mms and one ounce of citric acid. after placed put a lid on the jar.
let it sit overnight at 70 degrees. When its done carefully remove the cup without spilling the MMS/citric acid out into the water.
What you have now is cds. Store in frige.
I need to know what size jar to use. Must it be glass or is plastic ok? any recommendations on what jar to purchase and where? I know the elite ball is recommended for travel but Im wanting to make larger batches.
If you use a one quart jar with one ounce of mms and one ounce of activator what ppm cds will you end up with?
Is chlorine dioxide test strips the best method for getting ppms
thanks

6. Procedure to make 3000 ppm CDS:
A. Fill the receiver with 240 ml (8 fl oz US) of distilled water.
B. Put 12 ml of MMS1 and 12 ml of 50% citric acid in the reactor container. Swirl and put inside the receiver. Tighten lid & keep in a dark place.
C. After 12 hours, remove the reactor and discard the solution. Refrigerate the CDS. Simple!
Yes, it does make a difference in the ClO2 concentration if you use different containers or activate at a different temperature. Using LaMotte high range ClO2 test strips will tell you the concentration. If you get a concentration different from 3000 ppm, the dosing chart will show how much to use as per Protocol 101.
Let us know how this works for you.

Im teaching a class in oxidative therapies soon and really need to get updated on how to use mms, as I've been suffering though the old applications for too long and dont really want to promote that pathway.
So I assume that the plastic lid is essental to prevent explosion of the glass container.
Can we also assume that if measurements are correct in mms, AC and distilled water that the outcome will always be near to 3,000 ppm. Do I really need to purchase test strips and make everyone else do the same?
thanks
also do you have an opinon on adding unactivated mms to the cds solution at time of ingestion? I've been reading a few comments on that. I use unactivated mms on my animals all the time with good results for bad breath.

The metal lid will be attacked by the ClO2 so it won't last.
Three people, including me, have made CDS with this equipment setup and 12 ml of MMSU and 12 ml of 50% citric acid and all measured about 3000 ppm using LaMotte high range test strips. That assumes the temperature of ingredients and equipment are about 70 degrees F for 12 hours. If colder, wait longer and you should have 3000 ppm.
I found the Ball canning jars, plastic lids and glass votive candle holders at a local hardware store and each set cost less than $5.00. Since the jars come in a 4 pack, I bought them, 4 votive candle holders and a box of 8 lids. I have given away a few sets already and at the price, I can afford to do so.
Test strips are a good idea, but once you test your CDS, and you make it the same way each time, you probably don't need to measure it again. You could invest in one container of test strips and share them with your students. As Jim pointed out, if you cut them lengthwise, you now have 100 strips instead of the 50 you originally bought!
You do need the container with the color code on the side however, so sharing strips could be a problem. Maybe make color photo copies of the color code? Remember to dilute 1 ml of CDS sample solution in 60 ml of distilled when measuring the ppm. You want to read a mid-scale color so your eye can see subtle color differences that won't be possible at the high end of the color code. Multiply the reading from the color code by 60 to arrive at the CDS ppm.
I am interested in learning more about CDS+ but have not tried that yet.
Also, I am interested in trying Scott's 7 Day Fridge MMS and see how that works. He is on to something with that method that we don't yet understand. We need more volunteer testers!

www.target.com/p/ball-glass-preserving-jars-16oz/-/A-12911522#prodSlot=medium_1_7&term=elite+ball+jars
OK, I can see from JB13's post that if his set cost about $5 then he is not using the elite jars but the regular ball canning jars, so they must be working fine.
One more thing. Im looking at test strips at LaMott on this page: www.lamotte.com/pool_spa_water/instatest.html I dont see any that say for chlorine dioxide. Can you please tell me which one to get?
Thank you all for your input at clarifying this. Guess I will get the test strips and see if I can manage to make accurate color copies of the ppm grading scale. It would be nice to have a few complete sets to pass on during the class. That will really help people to get going on this.

I got mine at WWGrainger - may be able to find some on ebay or amazon, but the last I looked Amazon was out.
I particularly like the elite jars because they're squat, so the votive candle holder definitely is taller (at 2.5") than the water level, which has spread out. You can try a pint wide mouth canning jar, but check to see that the votive candle holder fits. Arrow, email me, pls, at the email address in my sig line.

I read the following suggestions, 10ml mms with 10ml Ca, 12ml mms with 12 ml CA and 20ml mms with 20ml Ca.
Im after the 3,000 ml because I understand that this is standard dose, and I think that 10ml of mms and 10 of CA is what is used to get this, right?
Why are people using 12ml or 20ml?

More is Not Always Better
Published on: June 9, 2026
In my books, there are times when one might need to take larger doses of MMS/CD. In Protocol 2000, for example you’ll find maximum dosage amounts. Some might take this to mean the more MMS one takes the better. But this is NOT necessarily so! More is not necessarily better, you need to listen to …

Eighty five percent of mammals, that is animals, take naps during the day. It is not really apparent if humans were meant to take naps or not, but children certainly take naps naturally. I personally have taken from 20 to 45 minute daily naps during my entire life. They keep one fresh. People often worry …

More on HCl (Stomach Acid)

Dilute HCl can be used as an aid to MMS/CD. Eighty years ago, back in the 1920’s and 30’s thousands of people were healed by a few doctors of many diseases including cancer. Eventually they were stopped, but there was one doctor who worked in the jungles of Mexico who had years and years of …
