allergic reaction to something---MMS role in this

Hello,
I don't know where else to go. A day or two ago I had an allergic reaction to something that I took, wore...? I'm up now b/c it's not getting any better. My eyes are running, itchy, swollen. I've been taking MMS tablets, following protocol 1000 for almost 3 weeks for other health concerns, but I'm wondering what it's doing to the immune system. Before going on, I need to say that several times, I've taken the tablet with water containing fresh lemon juice, thinking--mistakenly?--that it was only the vitamin C from orange juice, and ascorbic acid, that inactivated the dose. In addition, I believe that I have rhumatoid arthritis (not severe)...and I've developed allergies over the years to things I'd previously not been allergic to. However, this time, I can't figure out for the life of me what is causing this reaction, and I'm at wit's end. I feel like scratching my eyes out, they're so itchy. I'd have gone to a doctor, but s/he'd probably give me a cortisone shot, which I fear might damage my immune system further. However, it may be my only choice. Could the reaction be a reaction to MMS? Is MMS supposed to support the immune system?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

As an addendum to this question/ request : Does anyone know if MMS helps or hinders autoimmune disorders? Have there been any success stories for those with autoimmune disorders?

saturdaysun, you might want to stop taking the MMS1 tablets for a while and see if your problem goes away. Yes, MMS1 and MMS2 should help support our immune system by killing pathogens that our immune system then doesn't have to do, freeing it to do other work.

I don't think we know if MMS1/2 will help with autoimmune diseases. Those diseases may be caused by genetics and seem to be more prominent in women than men.

Lemon juice will reduce chlorine dioxide generated by MMS. Best to take that 1 hour after your last MMS1 dose of the day.

I'm grateful for your thoughtful response, as well as for the article, which I will read with interest. So frustrating to have an allergic reaction but to not know why! Trying to avoid going to allopathic doctor who has in his/her arsenal only steroid shots to suppress the immune system.

Not sure how long ago this was posted, but I wanted to add to the conversation. I did the Jim Humble start up procedure, then followed with Protocol 1000. I only did 6 days of P 1000 though, because my health concerns were resolved by then. The day after I stopped, my scalp and face became VERY itchy. No rash, just itchy. Seems like a histamine type reaction. I haven't had anything else out of the ordinary, so I'm convinced it's the MMS. Taking Benadryl now and hoping to sleep it off.
