The amber color needs to wait longer, and the more drops, the easier it is to see the amber color.
Look through the solution from the side and not down onto the solution.

Hi there. I ordered the chlorine dioxide kit from Eden Way and was surprised that they are plastic bottles. Also, I misplaced the instruction sheet and I think its important as it seems they make their product from steam, which I am assuming makes it stronger. Do you see any problem with this product being in plastic bottles? And how many drops do you use with how much water? Thank you so much.
Thanks for letting us know that Eden Way is now shipping their SCS and acid in plastic bottles. Most companies who sell SCS and acid use plastic bottles. I prefer glass because plastics aren't to be trusted. You could transfer the liquids to 120ml glass bottles.
Steam distilled water they use to make SCS and acid won't make any difference to the concentrations of SCS and acid.
"And how many drops do you use with how much water"? You must not have Jim Humble's book which is where his protocols can be found. I have attached three MMS1 protocols for you. I wrote Protocol-1000F which you may find useful. Be sure to first follow the Starting Procedure before following Protocol-1000.

Personally, I would not use the dropper caps to dispense drops. Instead I would use a pipette. For best accuracy of drop size (0.05ml per drop) use a 1ml syringe to dispense drops. Drop size can vary by 100%, depending on the various droppers available.
Do you have any recommendation for the 1ml syringe?
Can you store MMS and the activator (acid) in the 1ml syringe or you need to draw from the bottle every time?
Can you re-use it or is it really disposble?
Does this look alright? www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/147415/livingstone-syringe-luer-lock-tip-red-plunger-sterile-1ml-100-pieces-box

I bought a box of 100 some years ago and still have most of them. Yes, you can reuse syringes many times. Your fingers will eventually remove the markings on the barrel, so cover those with clear tape. One of my 10ml syringes I have used for 3 & 1/2 years. That one has a silicone O-ring seal on the end of the plunger. Sometimes I lube the seal with silicone oil.
I would not store SCS and acid in syringes. Regular syringes use natural rubber for the seal and those may not stand up to those chemicals. Rinse the syringe twice in clean water and you can use just one syringe for both SCS and acid. Avoid cross contamination.
Diabetics often use 1ml syringes, so a chemist should have them. You don't need needles.

I bought 4 for $0.50 each from a local chemist store and it worked well. Only problem is it's too small to read for only 1 or 2 drops. Before I get CDS I now activate 15 drops for a day for my wife and use 8 x 120ml clear bottles (I store them in a drawer to avoid sunlight before I get amber colored one). So only doing it once a day and the syringe makes a lot easier for this job.

More is Not Always Better
Published on: June 9, 2026
In my books, there are times when one might need to take larger doses of MMS/CD. In Protocol 2000, for example you’ll find maximum dosage amounts. Some might take this to mean the more MMS one takes the better. But this is NOT necessarily so! More is not necessarily better, you need to listen to …

Note: The following was written by Jim around 2012, and we are putting it here as food for thought. The subject of “nutrition” in the world today, is quite subjective, with a wide range of factors weighing into this equation, such as how the food is grown, handled, stored, processed, etc. etc. In addition, we …

Eighty five percent of mammals, that is animals, take naps during the day. It is not really apparent if humans were meant to take naps or not, but children certainly take naps naturally. I personally have taken from 20 to 45 minute daily naps during my entire life. They keep one fresh. People often worry …

Dilute HCl can be used as an aid to MMS/CD. Eighty years ago, back in the 1920’s and 30’s thousands of people were healed by a few doctors of many diseases including cancer. Eventually they were stopped, but there was one doctor who worked in the jungles of Mexico who had years and years of …
