How MMS2 hypochlorous acid heals the body

Chlorine dioxide kills most microorganisms through the process of oxidation. Oxidation is not always understood, with many people thinking that oxidation is the process of adding oxygen to other substances. That is not the case. Oxidation is the process by which substances are destroyed. The electrons that hold a substance together are pulled off by the oxidizing chemical and thus the substance then comes apart, which of course, destroys it.
The following is from protocol 4000 by Jim Humble:
The facts are that:
Hypochlorous acid releases oxygen atoms which then destroy the pathogens.
Hypochlorous acid releases chlorine only in the form of table salt.
If they (critics) were correct and hypochlorous acid did release chlorine, then you would smell chlorine on every person you meet because the human body makes hypochlorous acid continuously.
It appears that chlorine dioxide and hypochlorous acid both destroy pathogens with oxygen atoms by "pulling off" electrons. Their method is oxidation of the pathogen. Can someone tell me if this is a correct conclusion?

I cannot tell what this article is saying in regards to hypochlorous acid reactions in the body. Can anyone translate? Is there any evidence in this article to support, scientifically, the possible use of hypochlorous acid as an orthomolecular molecule to destroy pathogens?
Note wikipedia says:
Uses: (hypochlorous acid)
In biology, hypochlorous acid is generated in activated neutrophils by myeloperoxidase-mediated peroxidation of chloride ions, and contributes to the destruction of bacteria.[3][4][5]
Does this answer my question?
Help. Can anyone elaborate more on this?

In the Human Body
The human body produces a highly effective antimicrobial solution called hypochlorous acid to fight infection. White blood cells release this natural oxidant to fight invading pathogens. The hypochlorous acid produced by the human body’s immune system:
Reacts readily with a variety of microbial sub-cellular compounds
Interferes with their metabolic processes
Kills individual bacterium exposed within milliseconds
When an invading pathogen or infection threatens a human cell, the body's immune system responds by destroying the pathogen before it can harm the cell. The invading pathogens are engulfed by white blood cells called neutrophils by the process of phagocytosis. This antimicrobial process is called the Oxidative Burst Pathway.
The Human Response
When a wound breaks human skin, it creates a gateway for harmful pathogens to invade human cells.
Neutrophils, which are a type of white blood cell, live in human blood vessels.
When pathogens invade a human cell, neutrophils travel to the infection site to destroy the invading pathogen. The first step in this process is engulfing the pathogen.
Once the neutrophil has completely surrounded the pathogen, it produces an oxidant, hypochlorous acid. Hypochlorous acid is a biocide, meaning it kills organic material. Once produced by the neutrophil, it kills the bacteria almost instantly.
So if we create hypochlorous acid with MMS2 in our stomachs and we are organic, how do we know it is not attacking our own cells?

We know that, when taken as directed it must not be attacking our cells - as people regain health - and do not get sicker.

Here is a possible explanation from Humble's basic science of MMS. Quote:
Oxidation potential
The chemical ClO2 is a weak oxidizer with an oxidation potential of .95 volts. The oxidation potential determines the strength of the ability of an oxidizer, to oxidize other compounds. Chlorine dioxide is the weakest of all the oxidizers that are ever used in the human body. For your reference, oxygen has an oxidation potential of 1.28 volts, hydrogen peroxide has an oxidation potential of 1.80 volts, and the strongest oxidizer ever used in the body, ozone, has an oxidation potential of 2.07 volts.
Why the chlorine dioxide does not harm the body
Chlorine dioxide has the weakest oxidation potential (.95 volts) of all the oxidizers. Oxygen has the next highest oxidation potentials of 1.28 volts. Those oxidation potentials of .95 and 1.28 volts can do very little damage to the human body. This is because these voltages cannot overcome the opposing oxidation potentials in the human cells and tissues. End quote.
If hypochlorous acid has a weak oxidation potential like chlorine dioxide, that might explain why hypochlorous acid does not attack healthy body cells and tissues. Does anyone know the oxidation potential of the hypochlorous acid molecule?

Cl2(g) + 2 e– 2 Cl–(aq) +1.358v
2 HClO(aq) + 2 H+(aq) + 2 e– Cl2(g) + 2 H2O +1.63v
ClO–(aq) + H2O + 2 e– Cl–(aq) + 2 OH–(aq) 0.89v
Whether hypochlorous acid (HClO) is present or not is very dependent on the pH of the solution. If the pH is very low (very acidic) chlorine gas (Cl2) will be produced from the MMS2, between 3 to 5 pH hypochlorous acid is produced (hopefully the stomach acid is in this range). As the pH rises more of the hypochlorite (ClO) is present. After food leaves the stomach, bicarbonates are added to the food to bring the pH up to make the contents alkaline ( around 8 pH).
